Our mission is to provide compassionate treatment supporting children living with autism and their families, encouraging them to thrive and reach their full potential. We focus on teaching in a socially significant way using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to support growth towards a brighter and more independent future. We value the importance of open communication, acceptance and supporting the client and the family.
We develop an individualized program tailored to meet each child's specific needs. We use the principles of ABA (often with an emphasis on the verbal behavior model) and use different tools to assess skill strengths and deficits to guide program development. Data is taken before and throughout therapy. Therapy practices are frequently revised to ensure continued progress. Skills are taught systematically to ensure effective translation in the child's natural environment.
We offer behavior programs designed to increase desired behaviors and decrease undesired behaviors.
All of our behavior programs are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which is an approach based on developing an understanding of why and where a child is likely to engage in problem behaviors.
Teaching replacement behaviors and new skills.
We provide a variety of school-based services in the home and school settings. Depending on the needs of the student and the school district, these services include the following: behavior assessments, teacher consultation, paraprofessional training, modification of curriculum, inclusion consultation, and social facilitation consultation. If consultation is not sufficient, we can provide ABA therapists or BCBA's to oversee the district programs.
Parent involvement is an essential element for a successful program, therefore, parent training is included as part of each home-based program. We recognize that every family is different, our parent training programs are individualized for each family to best suit the family dynamic.
Specialized Autism Consultants programs are developed to help children/families diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The programs are developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and utilize the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which are widely recognized as a safe and effective treatment for Autism. Our goal is to lead each individual to their potential through evidence based therapy founded on the principles of ABA. We strive to deliver effective interventions with compassion, expertise, and professionalism.
